NIBM was awarded as The Emerging Cisco Academy for CCNA in Sri Lanka-2018 in the SAARC-Cisco Networking Academy Conference held on 8 Nov 2018 at Hotel Galadari. Mr. Omar Shaban, Director - Global operations, Cisco Networking Academy ,Mr Murugan Vasudevan, Regional manager - India SAARC , Networking Academy, Corporate affairs, Cisco systems, Mrs Kalhari Kaluarachchi, Program Manager - SAARC , Networking Academy, Corporate affairs, Cisco systems. And also, Mr Ananth Rao, Technical Manager APJ, Networking Academy, Corporate affairs, Cisco systems were present in this prestigious occasion. Network is the platform. Therefore, for any organization it is important to have professionals maintaining their networks. This is why still the CCNA Routing and switching certification is very popular. The Matara Regional Centre of NIBM along with the HDBM 18.1 batch of its students conducted a CSR project at M/Thalahagama Pratamika Vidyalaya in Thalahagama, Akuressa.  There were over 150 students who benefited from this project as it was conducted to uplift the standards of the school so that the students would experience a better studying environment. 120 books were given to the Library of this school along with 5 book racks to keep them in place.
